The Realtors® Multiple Listing Service encompasses a vast database of properties listed for sale.  These database entries are viewable by licensed Realtors® only.   Most real estate agents only work with ready and able buyers, and thus the MLS is very productive at accomplishing the sale.

Many MLS systems exist throughout the United States, but there is only generally only one MLS per city or metropolitan area.  Some rural counties do not have an established MLS, and use two or three of the adjacent services.   Some parcels are actually sold very quickly after being placed on the MLS because the member real estate agents have the capability to store their client’s desires in the MLS computer.  Once your parcel is listed on the market through the MLS, real estate agents will immediately call their clients to try to sell your land.
